About the Conference
Reboot Communications Ltd. organized the Okanagan
Technology Symposium, April 28, 2000 at the Grand Okanagan
Lakefront Resort and Conference Center in Kelowna, British Columbia.
The conference theme was "Creating E-Communities".
It was hosted by Okanagan East MLA John Weisbeck, keynote
speakers were Peter Ciceri, President of Compaq Canada and David
Buffett, Vice-President of Nortel Networks. Providing opening remarks
was the Leader of the Official Opposition in British Columbia, Gordon Campbell.
In addition to the keynote speakers, the conference consisted of
plenary sessions in which sponsors provide informative information on
how their company has assisted in the creation of electronic
communities and what they'll be like in the future.
Sponsors included: Microsoft Canada, Compaq Canada, Nortel
Networks, Cisco Systems, Oracle, TELUS, Total Care Technologies,
the Centre for Education Information and EDS Innovations.
