Victoria Conference Centre
September 8-9, 2003
A conference on bringing technological innovation to B.C. government services by sharing experiences and lessons learned.
Keynote speaker
Our keynote speaker was Frank McKenna, business & social policy innovator.
Master of Ceremonies
Our Master of Ceremonies was Phil Halkett, former Deputy Minister in several British Columbia ministries.
Featured sessions
Tuesday afternoon featured five concurrent sessions, each presenting a project from a past winner of a Public Sector Information Technology Award. The presenters talked about what they learned from their project and how it might be applied to other projects.
Sponsor presentations
Both morning and afternoon sessions included a choice of two Business Briefings, each featuring speakers from several of our sponsors. They examined different aspects of the transformation process and discuss how government can do its work more effectively and more efficiently. This year these sessions were tightly focused on the conference theme.
New - training workshops
In a new feature this year, sponsors presented training workshops on Monday afternoon. Details will be announced as sponsors sign up.
In our trade show area, delegates met management consulting firms, business partners, software developers, users of innovative approaches and more.
