Jonathan Zittrain
Jonathan is the faculty co-director at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. He is also the Jack N. and Lillian R. Berkman assistant professor for Entrepreneurial Legal Studies at Harvard Law School.
Jonathan Zittrain is a co-founder of HLS's Berkman Center for Internet & Society and served as its first executive director from 1997 to 2000. His research includes digital property, privacy, speech and the role played by private middle people in Internet architecture. He has a strong interest in creative, useful, and unobtrusive ways to deploy technology in the classroom.
He served on the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in 1992 and 1994, and with the United States Department of State in 1991.
Jonathan attended Harvard Law School, J.D. (1995); Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, MPA (1995); Yale University, BS Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, (1991).
He serves on the MediaUnbound Advisory board. He is affiliated with the World Economic Forum (Forum Fellow, 2000 to 2002; GLT, 2000)
He is a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations.
